At CEF Lyncx is always on the look out for talented and dedicated people who want to make a difference in the local community.


Current Volunteering Opportunities
CEF LYNCX is always looking for volunteers or students who would like improve their own learning through volunteering.


Volunteering for the CEFL is a great way to help your local community, it also gives you invaluable experience you can use to enhance your CV.


You will have the opportunity to join a team of:

 
• tutors delivering extra study support programmes (S3P) in literacy, numeracy and science to year 4 to 11 students in community venues in Lambeth 
• project delivery workers managing our various projects and/or  administration support at the core of our operations, B7, Eurolink Business Centre located in the heart of vibrant Brixton


Time required


We are ideally looking for committed volunteers who can offer at least 3 hours any day, Monday to Fridays, between 12pm to 7.30pm or some weekends, Saturdays, from 10am to 4pm.

 

What can you expect from us?


You will gain a wealth of experience in assessing your own knowledge in the subject you choose to support. You’ll work with a diverse group of students as a team and will be required to use your initiative. You’ll be working with a small class size in warm and caring environment with tutors who hold a real passion and dedication towards helping young people do well academically. We offer an induction and will arrange your CRB check. We pay travel and subsistence expenses up to a maximum of £5 per day.

Teaching 

Opportunities


We are now recruiting for sessional tutors and project workers to support the delivery of our Study Support Schooling Programmes (S3P) at a number of estate community halls across Lambeth.


The programmes are starting from September.

For tutors, we are looking for those individuals who are qualified or at teacher training level who can demonstrate innovative curriculum teaching in LITERACY, NUMERACY & SCIENCE at K'S 2 & 3 Levels. Successful candidates will have the option to work up to 8 hours spread over 4 evenings each week.


Project Workers must have minimum GCSE Grade C in English and Maths and demonstrate a commandment to work with children, a good level of working independently and organisational skills.
