SPORTS SATURDAYS IS FREE MULTI-SPORTS SESSION SATURDAYS


Sports Saturdays offer young people age between 7 and 15 year olds offering opportunity for them to engage in a diverse range of sports and physical activities and offers volunteering opportunities for young people over the the age of 16 years.

The sessions are co-produced with young people, managed by our Charity @CEF Lyncx and supported by our partners for the benefit of the wider youth community of Lambeth and runs on Saturdays (School Term-Time Only) from 11am and 2pm. 

The aim of the scheme is to:
  • encourage inactive young people become active and active young people remain active
  • add reducing after-school isolation among young people
  • improve physical and mental wellbeing of young people
  • improve community cohesion and reduce anti-social behaviour among young people
 
We also have volunteering and work experience opportunities for young people age 16 years and over who would like to improve their career through sports

Joining the scheme is free but parents or young people who are over 16 years old must register using the 'Click-Me' button below and those who sign their up/children up must ensure they/their child commit to attending the session weekly; as regular as they can possibly do in order for them to achieve the full benefit of the aims of the scheme.

Our Core Activities:

We collaborate with local people, partners and secondary support sources to develop and run learning and capacity building opportunities that help children and young people to discover pathways that lead them to improving their life chances; for example, learning options that lead them to accessing more opportunities. We achieve this objective through co-production approaches involving young people, parents and partners to develop and offer diverse range of services on social housing estates in Lambeth. Each week, we engage with more than 250 young people in these core activities:
